Ross Masood Shaikh
MCCI Pune - Founder, Educationist, Industrialist, Philanthropist
Mr. Ross Masood Shaikh is a visionary entrepreneur, social reformer, and the founding father of the Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI), Pune.
With a background in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. – University of Madras), he began his professional career at Thermax Ltd., where he gained deep expertise in designing and manufacturing process heat equipment for critical applications, including specialized steam boilers for the Indian Navy and ONGC oil fields.
Key Leadership Achievements
Mr. Ross Masood Shaikh has significantly contributed to India’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities by leading the design and development of advanced steam boiler systems for critical national and industrial needs. His pioneering projects include compact 2000 Kg/hr steam boilers for Indian Navy frigates, 1000 Kg/hr high-pressure mobile steam boilers for ONGC oil fields, and containerised boiler systems engineered for extreme Siberian conditions, successfully replacing expensive imported technologies.
In 1987, he founded Ross Enterprises, which grew into a respected brand in steam boilers, hot water generators, thermic fluid heaters, hot air generators, and process heat equipment. He later established Spantek Projects, specializing in food processing machinery such as advanced continuous frying systems supplied to leading brands including Chitale Bandhu, Haldiram, and Balaji.
He also set up Paradise Food Products, a manufacturing venture producing fried onions, dehydrated vegetables, ginger powder, and related products, expanding his impact into the food processing industry.
Beyond business, Mr. Masood Shaikh has dedicated himself to various charitable causes, including providing employment assistance, scholarships, and medical help to underprivileged communities. He founded the Span Welfare Charitable Trust and the Darul Qaz’a – an Islamic Dispute Resolution Center. Furthermore, he championed education by establishing the Span International Academy, offering quality IGCSE-affiliated education with strong moral and ethical foundations.
In 2011, Mr. Masood Shaikh founded the Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Pune, envisioning a united platform to foster entrepreneurship, business networking, and economic development within the community.
His leadership continues to inspire growth, inclusivity, and resilience among businesses.
Suhail Bashir Ansari

A Chartered Engineer, MBA, and accomplished corporate leader, Mr. Suhail Ansari brings over four decades of international experience in infrastructure and commercial projects across the Middle East, including leadership roles in renowned global organizations and a Tata Group Joint Venture in the UAE.
He currently serves as:
- Chairman – Span International Academy
- Trustee – Span Welfare & Charitable Trust
- President – MCCI (revival initiative)
- Chair – INBAC (Integrated Building Automation Services Community)
- Motivational Speaker – Keep Moving Movement (KMM)
He is also associated with several educational institutions and social organizations, including Anjuman-I-Islam, and is a proud life member of COEP Alumni Association, Vincent’s Old Boys Association, Institution of Engineers, Deccan Muslim Institute, and Life School.
Key Leadership Achievements
Mr. Suhail Ansari has spearheaded transformative initiatives in the international engineering and infrastructure sector. He established the Global Engineering Center for Voltas International Operations in Mumbai and launched a pioneering Techno-Commercial Audit Center to oversee and optimize MEP projects from tendering through final closure. His strategic leadership enabled expansion of Voltas’ international operations across SAARC, Asia, and Africa, generating significant business growth.
Four decades of executing international MEP projects covering all aspects like marketing, tendering, procurement, design, execution, commissioning and closure.
Worked in the sectors of residential townships, mixed use developments, commercial properties, oil & gas sites, infrastructure projects, technical installations and operation & maintenance services.
He conducted Business Excellence Assessments for Tata Group companies in India, for Voltas, and for the Dubai Government under the Dubai Quality Awards framework. As General Manager of Universal Voltas, he contributed the largest profit volumes in the company’s history and successfully led the technical and commercial closure of major complex projects at ETA and TARGET.
He also served on a key standards development committee for Abu Dhabi Electricity, contributing to policies that delivered substantial cost reductions across the sector.

Mr. Nisar Sagar is an alumnus of St. Vincent’s High School and a graduate in Civil Engineering from Pune. He has successfully executed several prestigious civil projects across the city, including commercial complexes, institutional buildings, educational facilities, hospitality projects, and public infrastructure.
A committed Rotarian since 1991, Mr. Sagar has made significant contributions to social service, most notably through his 17-year involvement at the district level in the Polio Eradication initiative. His dedicated service has been recognised through multiple awards at both club and district levels, reflecting his leadership and commitment to societal development.
Mr. Sagar has also served as the President of the Muslim Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI Pune) for two terms, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the chamber, promoting ethical business practices, and supporting entrepreneurship and community-oriented initiatives.
Professionally, his family brings over four decades of experience in the paint and paint application industry, executing large-scale painting projects across sectors.
With a balanced blend of professional excellence, social responsibility, and leadership, Mr. Nisar Sagar continues to contribute meaningfully to business, community development, and institutional growth through his association with MCCI Pune.
Javed Shamshuddin Syed

Mr. Javed Syed is a postgraduate in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pune, with over 35 years of distinguished experience in the chemical industry, specializing in Research & Development, Quality Control, and Quality Systems for agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. He retired as Deputy General Manager – Quality Control from Gharda Chemicals Ltd., where he led a team of 60 professionals and spearheaded the implementation of multiple ISO-certified Quality Management Systems.
A certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 & Integrated Management Systems, and Internal Auditor for ISO 17025, he has played a key role in developing GLP-accredited laboratories under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He has also contributed extensively as a mentor, guiding postgraduate students and delivering lectures at academic and industry forums.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Syed has held significant leadership roles in community service, including Past President of Rotary Club (1999–2000), District Officer for Rotary International, and Chartered Chairman of ISEST. He currently serves as Trustee & Secretary of Span Welfare Charitable Trust, Secretary of Span International Academy, and Board Member of MCCI Pune.
He remains actively engaged in social, educational, and environmental initiatives.
Arif Habib Gokak

Mr. Arif Habib Gokak is an accomplished Educationist, Entrepreneur, and seasoned Quality Management professional with over 20 years of international experience across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Construction, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune, and is a Certified Lead Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 (CQI & IRCA) with Six Sigma Green & Yellow Belt certifications.
During his extensive tenure in the Gulf region, Mr. Gokak led large-scale QA/QC operations, compliance systems, audits, inspection & testing programs, and process improvement initiatives for globally reputed organizations. His strategic leadership and quality assurance expertise contributed to operational excellence in complex, multidisciplinary projects.
After returning to India in 2017, he transitioned into entrepreneurship and established three successful business ventures in Pune:
- Gokak Institute – A Career Development and Study Abroad Training Institute empowering students through preparation for IELTS, GRE, GMAT, SAT, TOEFL, PTE, and Duolingo, as well as French, German, and Spoken English courses in both online and offline formats.
- Radial Power – Authorized dealership of Exide batteries for 2/3/4 wheelers, inverters, and UPS systems, and authorized dealer for Kanaad battery testing and electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Specta Vision Opticals – A modern optical showroom offering leading eyewear brands with in-house professional eye testing services.
A strong advocate of empowering youth through skill development and global education, he continues to mentor students, professionals, and entrepreneurs while contributing to community development and business networking initiatives in Pune.
